This marketing supervisor leads the process of developing co-op specific marketing/business plans that align with system and regional plans and targets and profitably build sales, guest counts, and market share for restaurants. Key customers include Regional Management, Co-Op Owner/Operators/agencies, National/Divisional/Regional Staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • College degree, preferable in Marketing

  • Proven track record of success in a Marketing role with progressive increase in responsibility in prior roles

Principal Accountabilities Include:


  • Maintain and strengthen brand position (market share, preference, business results)

  • Actively participate with Owner/Operator leadership, agencies, and staff in establishing and communicating goals

  • Fully align with and support regional and national strategies

  • Leverage research and indicators to help develop plans

  • Participate and support teams in direction/development of creative strategies and media plans/execution


  • Lead the process for tactics development, execution, evaluation, and constant improvement of all assigned co-op business plans to achieve annual goals

  • Identify and utilize resources in/out of the region to aid in development and execution of region's plan and other areas of responsibility

  • Maximize success of the system plan by ensuring Owner/Operator understanding and providing continuous feedback

  • May participate in or lead regional plan teams as assigned

  • Mar participate on higher-echelon strategic teams to ensure field needs are being communicated and understood

  • Lead the process for development, execution, and evaluation of local media plans in assigned markets

  • Participate in development and execution of the process of local creative

  • Lead the process for development and execution of key targeted marketing plans in order to reach important customer segments

  • Partner with agencies and leadership in development and management of co-op budgets

  • Support development/management of relationships with strategic partners (vendors, suppliers, agencies, etc)

  • Support team and/or Communications/PR in managing local media relations and crisis management

  • Communicate cross-functionally with Operations and Training to ensure execution of marketing at store level

  • Lead and/or provide oversight on the processes/communication for merchandising execution

  • Ultimately accountable for use of trademarks/locos, licenses and ensures all materials have legal and creative approval

  • Manage projects and/or participate on teams as assigned within department, region, nation

  • Assist with development of succession plans for co-op leadership


  • Participate in selection, training, development of marketing supervisors and coordinators

  • Provide leadership points of view, build strong relationships and foster teamwork among stakeholders

  • Assist with and ensure agency performance reviews are completed


  • Gather, analyze, and provide accurate and timely information so agencies can make best recommendations and Owner/Operators can make informed decisions

  • Interpret and evaluate information related to sales, P&L, promotions, competition, economic trends, research in concert with Business Insights Manager

  • Offer advice to ensure financial resources are used effectively

  • Focus on growth engines
