Job Description:

The Manager, Strategic Change Global Business Services (GBS), is responsible for preparing and equipping employees for organizational change related to strategy, policy, processes and technology. The manager will develop an approach for and execute organizational change management efforts including but not limited to: Aligning Leaders, Stakeholder Management, Organizational Risk and Readiness, Job Impact Analysis, Strategic Communications, and Education/Training. The position will report to the Director of Strategic Change, Global Business Services.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred

5-7 years’ experience in a change management role

Deep understanding of and ability to apply change management and communications leading practices

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate issues and solutions

Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and presentation skills

Respected and trusted individual in their current role and able to work across business areas/Markets.

Able to demonstrate and communicate behaviors that will assist team members to serve as change agents in the organization.

Works effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities:

In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Alignment

Help leaders set and clearly articulate organizational / project goals

Guide leaders on driving alignment of key priorities and facilitating critical stakeholder relationships.

Design and help facilitate forums for alignment such as 1-2 yearly leadership off sites and quarterly employee huddles

Develop strategic messaging for customer communications.

Assist with measuring the effectiveness of alignment activities

Change Management Strategy and Execution

Develop a strategy for and lead change management efforts to drive end user adoption of new policies, processes, technology, and roles and responsibilities associated with projects that support the GBS strategy.

Work with GBS/Partners/Markets to identify, define, and adopt changes.

Identify and address organizational risk and readiness issues.

Develop business readiness plans, to aid GBS in responding to key impacts and prepare for changes.

Identify business and job impacts for GBS and each impacted business area/Market, and align program and business/market teams around key impacts.

Help GBS leaders mobilize and align leaders and implement tactics to engage and manage stakeholders.

Develop a strategy for, mobilize and support a change management networks.

Develop and execute a communications strategy and deliver all necessary communications key changes.

Coach leaders on creating and implementing effective change plans.

People Development and Relationship Management

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with groups within GBS

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with partner functions outside of GBS (Market Finance, HR, Legal, McOpCo, etc.)

Coach consultants as required.
