We are looking for intellectually curious problem-solvers that have a passion for marketing, innovation and food and beverage. As part of the U.S. Menu Innovation team, you will help create the future menu at McDonalds.
Using trends and consumer research, you will set and execute short term strategy and contribute to long-term strategy creation for your category on the Menu Innovation Team. You will be accountable for generating new ideas and launching those ideas by leading your direct report(s) and cross functional teams, comprised of consumer insights, operations, culinary, finance and supply chain colleagues. Your responsibilities will include product development, communication development and commercialization of new menu items. You will also lead interfacing with our owner/operator partners and local markets to bring strategies, products and communication to life in the restaurants. You’ll develop and lead plans to deliver on annual financial goals, while managing the very day needs of the business.

Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
7 years minimum marketing experience required, food marketing and innovation
People management experience required
Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies required
Track record of go-to-market success
Demonstrated team leadership competency
Agency management, a plus
Deliver fresh, new thinking and recommendations on category development through strategy creation
Set and execute short term strategy and contribute to long term strategy creation
Solve complex business problems and identify future category needs
Manage category analyses that fuel innovative ideas
Create differentiated product concepts and positioning
Lead cross functional teams consisting of Culinary,Consumer Insights, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance
and Suppliers to turn new products into reality
Coach Menu Strategy direct report
Manage market tests and lead communication strategy development with agencies to bring
Product to life in communication
Build compelling Business Cases
Lead sell-in to leadership and owner/operator partners
Travel up to 30% of time for market visits (sporadic, not continuous)
