We’re seeking a new member for the McDonald’s Global Internal & Executive Communications team who will helpbuild on this success by supporting our CEO and other leaders as they share our

This role will be based in Oak Brook, IL until the Spring of 2018 when it will move to Chicago.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years+ of experience in Corporate Communications or Public Relations; journalism background a plus

  • Skilled in navigating across organizational and cultural boundaries to collaborate effectively with colleagues throughout the world

  • Superior writing skills

  • Ability to create content personalized to capture style, voice and preferences of an individual executive

  • Strong interpersonal skills and polished presence in interacting with and influencing executives and peers

  • Consistently brings high energy, creativity, strategic thinking and a collaborative spirit

  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling social media content that extends reach, drives desired engagement with targeted audiences and achieves strategic objectives

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining precise attention to detail, upholding high standards of excellence and always meeting deadlines

  • Ability to identify key themes and relevant details from financial documents and other materials to developthought-provoking and engaging narratives that connect with a wide range of internal and external audiences

  • Knowledgeable about executive and corporate communications best practices, and committed to identifying and applying emerging approaches

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment






  • Supports CEO, additional C-suite executives and other key thought leaders in the company with speeches, presentations, notes, other communications and messaging strategy for internal and external audiences

  • Plays a key role in developing and executing an ongoing series of communications intended to drive greater awareness, understanding and confidence in the company’s growth strategy, business progress and culture change

  • Produces town halls, employee gatherings, leadership forums and other internal events

  • Guides and collaborates with creative design teams to prepare infographics, charts, videos and other multi-media content

  • Develops a strategic engagement approach, prepares content, educates and executes in supporting leaders in developing and maintaining an effective social media presence

  • Advances a thought leadership program by developing strategy, collaborating with peers and subject matter experts throughout the company, and supporting leaders in preparing compelling content
