The People Insights team is looking for a talented individual who has a passion for technology, data science and analytics. The role requires an individual who has experience in organizing large data environments, using data tools, and applying them to business applications .

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.A required

  • 2-3 years experience working in a data and analytics role

  • Knowledge of a technical laugauge Java, Python, and R

  • Comfortable with industry-leading data tools such as SAS, SQL, Hadoop, Pig, Mahout, Tableau

  • Comfortable dealing with large and complex data sets

  • Ability to develop and communicate innovative solutions to complex problems

  • Strong project management skills, including a proven track record of leading large, complex projects using standard project management practices and tools*LI-TM1IndeedMCD

Responsibilities:

Build the strategic direction for People data

  • Assess the opportunities, needs, and constraints of our People data usage; use this assessment to develop a strategy to maintain our People data

  • Manage a project to build an environment to house our People data; this will involve developing a plan for architecture, hosting, etc

  • Come-up with processes to maintain our People data; solutions will need to be flexible in order to continuously add new data sources

Consult with stakeholders on their People data needs

· Act as an expert to help our internal clients collect and sturcuture their People data

· Provide guidance on tools our clients can use to efficiently manage their People data

· Stay connected to external trends and innovations that can be applied at McDoanld’s

Bring the data to life through analytics

· Create a strategy for our team to support analytic requests; this will require designing innovative solutions based upon important business questions and strategies

· Recommend analytic tools and provide expertise to the team in terms of using them

· Execute analytic requests; be able to show key findings tha are simple to understand and remove complexity from the end user
